The information made public indicates that this international athlete has made the decision to return home owing to a medical emergency.

KKR staked its reputation on two Bangladeshi cricketers at the mini-auction leading up to IPL 2023. Where, Shakib Al Hasan already made the decision to leave the league and now due to a family medical issue, top opener and Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Litton Das has also gone home and will be unavailable for Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) future IPL matches. An official of the KKR team has informed PTI/Bhasha about this decision.

The official said that there was a medical emergency in his family due to which he left for Dhaka this morning. There is no information about when he will return. This 28-year-old wicket-keeper batsman was bought by KKR in the auction for his base price of Rs 50 lakhs.

He played only one match in IPL this year against Delhi Capitals. Opening the innings with Jason Roy, Das scored just four runs and missed two stumpings as wicketkeeper. Delhi won this match by four wickets and broke the streak of losing in five consecutive matches.
