TNPL

These three batters may have a chance to play in IPL, so watch out for them during the rest of TNPL 2023:

The Salem leg of the 2023 Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) has begun, with players from eight teams competing to showcase their skills and earn a place in the Indian Premier League (IPL). N Jagadeesan, C Hari Nishaanth, Baba Indrajith, Sai Sudharsan, and Shahrukh Khan have transitioned from TNPL to IPL. Some of these players are still actively playing in IPL. IPL scouts are keeping an eye on TNPL 2023, with a few players already standing out. If they continue to perform well, it won’t be long before they’re given higher honors. Here are three batters to watch out for during the remainder of the TNPL 2023 season who could be in contention for the IPL.

C Hari Nishaanth

C Hari Nishaanth is the captain of Siechem Madurai Panthers in TNPL. Although he hasn’t played in IPL yet, he was part of the Chennai Super Kings squad but was released before the 2023 season and remained unsold in the auction. Hari Nishaanth’s form has been inconsistent lately, but he has the potential to turn things around. He scored 88 runs, including a half-century, in the three matches he played so far as the SMP captain in TNPL 2023. Hari Nishaanth has been aggressive and has many opportunities to perform well in the group stage of the league. If he can make significant contributions at the top of the order, he might return to the IPL.

Pradosh Ranjan Paul

Earlier this month, Pradosh Ranjan Paul played a fantastic innings against the Salem Spartans. However, his form has declined significantly since the beginning of TNPL 2023. After scoring 88 runs in the opening game, he only managed to score 39 runs in his next four innings. Despite this, Pradosh has caught the attention of many after an impressive Ranji Trophy campaign for Tamil Nadu, where he scored three big hundreds and even captained the side in their final game at the age of 22. Although his T20 game is still a work in progress, he has made progress and has a lot of potential. If he continues to perform well, he could make his way into an IPL side.

G Ajitesh

G Ajitesh has been one of the most exciting players in TNPL, impressing with his power game and composure. He was quickly selected for the Tamil Nadu T20 side for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In TNPL 2023, he scored 188 runs in five games, including a century against the Lyca Kovai Kings, at an average of 62.67 and a strike rate of 160.68. His range and calmness at the crease have been the talk of the town. Ajitesh is the most likely TNPL 2023 youngster to get an IPL contract, with several franchises already taking notice of his big-hitting ability.
