According to our sources from Italy, Former Inter and AC Milan player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is all set to return to the Footballing circuit by joining the latter club once again. He has spent 6 seasons with the Rossoneris across 2 different stints.
Ibrahimovic first joined Milan in 2010/11 season before leaving on loan and then re-joined the Italian club in July 2012. He then joined Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United, Los Angeles Galaxy before joining Milan again in 2020.
He spent 3 seasons with the club and was more like a father figure for the youngsters in the team. His guidance and leadership ensured a first Serie A title for Milan in over 10 years. Zlatan helped Milan win the Italian top-flight in 2021-22 for the first time since 2010-11.
Zlatan left the club in tears earlier this year saying, “The first time we arrived at Milan you gave me happiness, the second time you gave me love. From my heart I want to thank you fans. You welcomed me with open arms, you made me feel at home.”
“I will be a Milan fan for the whole It’s time to say goodbye to football, not you.” – he added.
Now it seems as if there was real belief behind his statement. Our sources have claimed that Milan are working on the final details to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Italy but not as a player. Club owner Gerry Cardinale has been in direct talks with the former Sweden International and his return is looking very imminent.
It is being reported that Ibra will take the role of special counsel or advisor of the club where he will be a mediator between the players and club directors. That means, he will also be spending considerable time with head coach Stefan Pioli in recognizing exciting prospects to sign and much more.
Zlatan’s return date has also been hinted with Milan planning to announce his return this weekend before the Rossoneris prepare for a trip away at 13th placed Leece.
