The captain for the Bulawayo Braves and the star right-handed batter was in sublime form as he hit 4 fours and 8 sixes in his knock, which came at a strike rate of 206.66. He was ably supported by opener Ben McDermott (19 off 11) and Timycen Maruma (12 off 5) as the Braves posted a formidable 128-9 in their 10 overs.

In reply, the Hurricanes never got going and were restricted to 89 in 10 overs. Sikandar Raza was again the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-12. The other bowlers who impressed were Tymal Mills (2-12) and Taskin Ahmed (1-7).

With this win, the Braves moved to the top of the table, while the Hurricanes are at the bottom in the Zim Afro T10 points table.

Raza’s knock was one of the best T10 innings ever played and it helped the Braves to a comprehensive win. He was in complete control of his innings and hit the ball cleanly all over the park. He was particularly impressive against the spinners, taking them apart with his timing and placement.

The Hurricanes never really got going in their chase and were always playing catch-up. They lost wickets at regular intervals and never looked like threatening the Braves’ total. Raza’s bowling was also a major factor in the Hurricanes’ defeat. He bowled with great control and accuracy and picked up three important wickets.

The Braves will be looking to build on this win in the upcoming matches of the league. The Hurricanes, on the other hand, will need to regroup and find a way to get their batting back on track.
