1. Shreyas Iyer’s dance with sister left everyone in awe: We all know that the spread of coronavirus has taken a toll on the sports industry. All the cricket matches have been suspended for some time as cricket fans are facing a tough time of late. Amidst the deadly disease, if there is any Indian cricketer you must follow on social media, then that is Shreyas Iyer. Iyer have taken his social media game to a new level. Recently, he was seen dancing with his sister which left everyone in awe. 

2. Shreyas Iyer honing his fielding skills at home: Given that all the cricketing action have been put to a fault, all the cricketers are trying to find ways to keep up their fitness level. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer came up with unusual fielding drills that attracted appreciation from all quarters. Shreyas took to Instagram to post a video where he can be seen diving to catch an egg, followed by catching a remote and clothes.

When Shreyas Iyer was avoided the controversial question related to Ravi Ashwin: Back in 2019, During a Q and A session on Shreyas Iyer’s Instgram account, one of the followers asked him if Ravi Ashwin will come to Delhi Capitals. At that time, there were speculations that Ravi Ashwin might move to Delhi Capitals. To that Iyer responded saying, Bapu tme suo kro Cho, Maine controversial question aavde nathi (which roughly translates to Bapu you are wasting time. I will not answer this controversial question). 

Ness Wadia, however, had said that the Indian spinner will stay at Kings XI after a re-think at board meeting. 

4. When MS Dhoni told Shreyas Iyer to stay away from Social Media: During the early years of his career, when Shreyas Iyer arrived at the highest level, MS Dhoni gave Iyer the golden advice to stay away from social media. He told him not read newspapers and try to stay away from social media as much as possible.

“After I joined the Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni advised me that I need to avoid reading the newspapers and should try to stay away from social media as much as possible,” Shreyas Iyer said while talking at a talk-show.

Shreyas though had said he tries to have a balance between both life and social media. He went on to say that the critism pumps him up and pushes him to work harder. 

“Social media has become a big part of our lives and I try to manage it well but it’s the criticism that motivates me and keeps me going,” he added.

Shreyas Iyer is a right-handed batsman who represents the Indian Cricket Team. After the 2019 World Cup, Shreyas Iyer has become a permanent member in India’s limited over’s set up. He had great series against West Indies and New Zealand and would be hoping to find a place in the T20 World Cup to be held next year.

Shreyas Iyer made his List A debut for Mumbai. In his debut Vijay Hazare Trophy, Shreyas Iyer scored 273 runs at an average of 54.60. He then made his first-class debut in December 2014. Iyer scored 809 runs at an average of 50.56 which included two centuries and six fifties in his first Ranji Trophy tournament.

Shreyas Iyer has so far played 18 one-day internationals for the team, in which he has managed to score 748 runs at an average of 49.9 and a strike rate of 100. As far as his T20 career is concerned, Iyer has played 22 games so far, scoring 417 runs at an average and strike rate of 27.8 and 129.5.
