Saba Karim lambasts Tim Paine for his controversial ‘sideshow’ remark on Indian cricket team

Former India cricketer Saba Karim lambast Tim Paine for his controversial remark on the Indian cricket team where the latter said that we lost the series against India due to sideshow and issues raised by Men in Blue.

The series in which India won twice on the Australian in absence of their star-studded Indian players including the likes of Kohli, Bumrah, and Jadeja due to injury received huge praise from experts all over the globe.

Australian Test captain Tim Paine claimed that the visitors distracted his side by creating ‘sideshows’ during the series.

Former Indian wicketkeeper Karim said described Paine’s statement as childish.  He added that the Aussie skipper is trying to hide his mistakes during the series.

“It is not only childish but huge stupidity. This is ‘Ulta chor kotwal ko daante‘. It is an attempt by Tim Paine to hide the mistakes they have committed. We have often seen that the home team does this kind of sideshow to distract the visiting team and it has happened to India many times,” said Saba Karim during a discussion on India News.

“I am finding it even more surprising because Justin Langer the coach has admitted that the Indian team gave a terrific performance, that the pool of India A player was very good, and that they should not feel bad after losing to India,” added the 53-year-old.

He concluded by stating that this statement from a 36-year-old wicket-keeper batsman can cost his captaincy as the leadership in Australian cricket is a hot topic and if reports are to believed many ex-cricketers have raised voices to make Smith the captain of the national side.
