Accomplishment of the newly started SA T20 league has been fantastic. Since, it has been the theme of discussion from the time it did’nt even began. The league began from 10th of January and each & every rivalry till now has been exciting. The teams, the players, management, the playing format are all those key factors that includes to in to conduct and expand a league & tournament.
But, here comes a one more important factor, those are the sponsors of the teams and the tournament. Like other league’s, SA t20 league also consists of some sponsors and very big sponsors, they are sponsoring the event. The league being sponsored by such huge sponsors also increases the buzz & awareness for the event.

The various sponsors of SA T20 league includes the big companies like Coca Cola, MC Donalds and Lotto. The title sponsor for the league is Betway and it has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal. Along with the fact that the competition is international, pre-existing Chennai deals are quite helpful, such sponsorships create consciousness in different regions also. Thus, sponsors play a key role in promoting the event.
In this part, it has been unfair to the other sports to some extent. As, big sponsors does not take interest in sponsoring and investing in other sports. This leads to the unhealthy competition for other games. If Comparing in cricket events and other sport events, sponsors first choice is all the way cricket. The reason for this could be the unawareness and less interest taken by the people and viewers, but this will lead to more lack of awareness and values of other games.
Sponsors should take interest in other games like Hockey, badminton, etc which help them to grow and the marketing & promotions of the games will move to different height, like SA T20 League is having in such a short time.
