Domestic Career
Chase, a resident of Christ Church Parish, made his senior debut for Barbados in the Regional Four Day Competition in 2010–2011 at the age of 18. Despite the fact that Roston Lamar Chase has now established himself as a team regular, Chase did not play again after his first season’s two matches until the 2012–13 campaign.
Chase achieved his first-ever first-class century during the 2014–15 season against the Windward Islands, scoring 120 not out from 241 balls. With 534 runs from eight matches, Roston concluded the season in fourth place for Barbados and seventh overall in the competition. International Career
Chase was selected for the West Indies team in the month of July of the year 2016 in preparation for their Test series against India. On July 21, 2016, Roston Lamar Chase played his first Test for the West Indies. Chase pulled up his first five-wicket haul and made a century in his second Test match to hold off a potent Indian bowling attack.
Chase was selected for the West Indies ODI team for their series against Afghanistan in the month of June of the year 2017. On June 9, 2017, Roston played in his first One Day International (ODI) for the West Indies against Afghanistan.
In the fourth innings of the first Test match between Barbados and England on January 26, 2019, Chase recorded bowling stats of 8/60 while adding 54 at the plate in the first innings.
Chase was selected as one of the 10 reserve players for the West Indies team for the 2019 Cricket World Cup by Cricket West Indies (CWI) in May 2019. Chase was selected for the West Indies Test team for their upcoming series against England in the month of June of the year 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the Test series to be delayed from its initial, month of May of the year 2020 start date to the month of July of the year 2020.
Chase was selected for the West Indies Twenty20 International (T20I) team in the month of September of the year 2021 in preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. On October 29, 2021, against Bangladesh for the West Indies, Roston Lamar Chase played in his first T20I match.
