Richard De Groen is a famous cricketer who actually plays for New Zealand. Currently, he is almost 56 years of age, as he was born on August 5, 1962, in Otorohanga. He has a very good physique overall with almost 6ft above height with golden brown hair and blue eyes. The full name of Groen is Richard Paul de Groen. Early Life
Groen used to be the manager of the NZOC since the year 1988 and therefore has controlled almost all the different aspects of team preparations for the consecutive three commonwealth games in the year 1998-2002-2006 and Olympic Games of 2000-2002-2004. Now at present, he is a former test and one day cricketer between the years (1993-1995).
Domestic Career
Groen’s batting style is actually a right-handed and his batting style is a right-arm-fast medium. He is also a great bowler as well as a batsman. He was not only the youngest but the longest cricket to hold as a good batsman for New Zealand.
International Career
Richard played almost 5 test matches, 12 one-day internationals, and 60 first-class matches. He has scored almost 45 runs in tests and 12 runs in one-day internationals and has taken almost 11 wickets in test matches and 8 wickets in one-day internationals. He played his first test debut between Australia and New Zealand at Belle rives Oval which was a 5-day match. And he played his last test was between South Africa and New Zealand at New Wanderers Stadium which was also a 5-day test match.
