Prithvi Shaw to train with PV Sindhu

Prithvi Shaw is going through a lean patch after he was handed a doping ban for ingesting a prohibited substance while consuming a cough syrup. Now, his ban ends on 15th November and the team management wants Shaw to regain his fitness, agility and flexibility as a player.

This is the reason the team management is set to tie up with ace shuttler PV Sindhu and allow Prithvi Shaw to train with PV Sindhu this weekend.

According to Sportstar, the training program is initiated by the team itself as Sindhu workouts are a talking point among young athletes.  The team expect the Sindhu Company shall transform the batting sensation into a world class fielder.

Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of the home series against South Africa (3 T20 matches) and Bangladesh (3 T20) and 2 tests) due to ban.

An exceptional debut eclipsed by ban

Prithvi Shaw made his debut in 2018 against West Indies and scored a ton in his maiden test. He was seen as a numerouno batsman for the Australian tour, he started off well with a fifty in the warm up match, but due to ankle twist injury the batter was ruled out of the series.

Although, the batter featured in Indian Premier League (IPL) and T20 Mumbai league during the ban period and performed exceptionally well.  His next major tournament will be playing for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy this October.

Since then he has been waiting for his turn to play international cricket. He was among the probable to play against South Africa, but ban stooped him to play cricket. He is currently in England detoxifying the negativity around him and gearing to make a strong comeback.

Shaw rose to fame after he scored 546 runs in junior cricket and took India to Under 19 victory in 2018. These performances were enough for him to get a call from national selectors.
