Primo Colon Biography: Edwin Carlos Colon, popularly known by his in-ring name Primo Colon, is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler, working with World Wrestling Entertainment for Smackdown brand. He performs along with his cousin, Epico Colón, having a tag team named as The Colons. Primo has held several accomplishments in his career in which he won the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship five times along with WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship and WWC World Junior Heavyweight Championship with the same score.
Primo Colon is the son of a retired professional wrestler Carlos Colón Sr. and younger brother of Carly Colon, known as Carlito in the professional wrestling business. Primo also held
WWC World Tag Team Championship once with Carly Colon, WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship once, World Tag Team Championship once with Carlito and WWE Tag Team Championship twice with Carlito and Epico.
In 2008, Primo with his tag team partner Eric Perez, became the first wrestlers to bag FCW Florida Tag Team Championship. The Colons also became the first tag team to hold the WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship at the same time.

Primo Colon was born on December 21, 1982, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Primo began his career by joining World Wrestling Council in 1999. Primo belongs to a family having a strong background in wrestling. His father Carlos Colon Sr. is a retired professional wrestler, while his brother Carlito is already a well-known figure in the WWE.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Primo Colon began his professional wrestling career in 1999 with World Wrestling Council and bagged his first title as WWC World Junior Heavyweight Championship. During his tenure with WWC, he feuded with stars like Damian Steele, Rey Mysterio, Kid Kash, El Diamante, and El Bronco, whom he defeated to win the Universal Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career.
In 2005, Primo formed a tag team with his father Carlos Colon Sr for Funking Conservatory’s television show, !Bang!, where they defeated Dory Funk, Jr. and Johnny Magnum to win Funking Conservatory (FC) Tag Team Championship. In the year 2007, Primo signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment for its parent organization Florida Championship Wrestling. He defeated Shawn Osbourne in his debut match and later formed a tag team with Eric Perez as The Puerto Rican Nightmares to defeat Heath Miller and Steve Lewington for the inaugural FCW Florida Tag Team Championship. The Puerto Rican Nightmares became the first wrestlers to hold the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship.
Primo also teamed up with Carlito in 2008 with a WWE’s main roster at Monday Night Raw. Primo and Carlito defeated then WWE Tag Team Champions Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder in a non-title match. The Colons ignited their feud with World Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz and won Unified WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 25 pre-show. Primo also feuded with The Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase) for the championship.
In 2011, Primo made his WWE’s main roster debut at Smackdown. He teamed up with Hunito in a winning effort against The Usos. Primo started teaming up with Epico and ignited his feud with then WWE Tag Team Champions Air Boom (Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston). and defeated them to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. At Wrestlemania 28, Epico and Primo successfully defended their titles against the Usos and Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd in a triple threat tag team match. However, they lost the title to Kofi Kingston and R-Truth.
Primo and Epico introduced WWE Universe with a new tag team named as Los Matadores as masked men with El Torito. Los Matadores feuded with 3MB, The Usos, Rybaxel, The Real Americans, The New Day and most importantly The Dudley Boyz in a losing effort for the WWE Tag Team Championship. In 2016, Primo and Epico again changed their tag team name with The Shining Stars.
Colon also participated in André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 34, however, failed to bag the spot.
