The player needs to be consulted and spoken about bio secure bubble in these unprecedented times: Virat Kohli

Indian skipper Virat Kohli who never shy away to give his opinion and recently in the press conference he was asked about bio secure bubble to which asserted that the management needs to build more communication with players in this pandemic time.

He further added that conversation is important for player point of view in order to know about player’s mental health and thoughts in these tough times and the healthy mindset is a must thing for any player to perform in International cricket.

“Scheduling is something that’s not in our control. For us, international games… every game is important and every game has value. It’s an opportunity to represent your team. For us, that remains our sole focus,” he said.

“I’ve said this before also, scheduling and workload, everyone will have to be very aware of and keep an eye out for. You never know when restrictions can come in place. In the future, we might have to play in bubbles so it’s very important to consider how much cricket we are playing.

“It’s not just the physical side but mental side as well. Players need to be spoken and consulted with. Otherwise, it’s going to be a case of who can last through difficult times like these. If a player moves away and someone else replaces them, I don’t think that’s healthy for a cricket system and a cricket culture moving forward which we want to create stronger and stronger,” Virat Kohli concluded

The conversation about bio secure bubble has been peeping from last one years now as England management are following the rotation policy due to their busy schedule this year so they are constantly rotating their players in an out of the bubble to make sure that players are mentally fresh and they get adequate time to rest and comeback in the squad.

The Bio secure bubble was also a talking point in the recently postponed PSL season 6 where the breach in bubble led to COVID-19 cases among players and support staff which impacted the image of PSL and PCB to a great extent.
