Paul George on 51-point Clippers loss vs Mavericks: “It’s not that big of a deal”

 

In today’s NBA game The Dallas Mavericks absolutely break to pieces the Los Angeles Clippers after defeating them with 50 point difference loss, 124-73.

Mavs Luka Doncic scored 24 points, Josh Richardson added 21 points and Tim Hardaway Jnr had 18 points for the Mavericks and the Dallas Mavericks led by an NBA-record 50 points at half-time against Clippers.

With Kawhi being injured in the previous match, Clippers Paul George led his team with 15 points before sitting out the second half. Serge Ibaka put 13 points and nine rebounds in overall three quarter.

Kawhi Leonard sat out after clashing accidentally getting elbowed his own teammate Serge Ibaka whereas both players were trying to grab a rebound.
Although, Paul was unbothered by the loss

“It’s not that big of a deal,” he told reporters.

“We got our butts whipped today, but it’s one day. We wasn’t ready today. We wasn’t prepared. That’s on me. So, we’ll be ready for the next game.”

“I take full responsibility,” George added.

“You know, it’s a tough game coming [after] Christmas. I enjoyed my Christmas Day [celebration on Saturday]. Today just popped up on me a little too fast.

“I’ll take full ownership for that, coming out and being prepared to play today. Be a different situation come next game, and we will be ready.”

George took responsibility for the loss, adding that spending the Christmas holiday on the road may have contributed to the poor performance:
