Paul George, Kawhi shine as Clippers beat Lakers 116-109 on season opener

Tyronn Lue opened up about what he told Paul George prior to the season opener vs the Los Angeles Lakers.

Lue, the head coach of the Clippers, noted he just told George to be ‘aggressive’

We just told him to be aggressive and he was unstoppable,” Lue told reporters, via Mark Medina of USA Today Sports.

Paul George scored 33 points, Kawhi Leonard added 26 points and the Los Angeles Clippers regroup past the home rivals the Los Angeles Lakers on the NBA champions’ ring ceremony night for a 116-109 victory Tuesday.

Paul George went 13 of 18 with five three-pointers in a first game since signing the contract extension with Clippers. The Clippers beat the Lakers for the second time in a row in the opening match of NBA.

For Los Angles Lakers, LeBron James scored 22 points and Anthony Davis had 18 for the Lakers.

Although, The Lakers returned from the shortest off-season in league history and received their championship rings honouring Kobe Bryant and Lakers 17th title.
