Pakistan’s new look T20I team suffered an embarrassing loss to the hands of neighbors Afghanistan by 6-wickets here at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE. The Men in green are playing without some of the senior players in the team and are also under new captaincy of Shadab Khan.
Rashid Khan’s Afghanistan ran riot against Pakistan during the 1st of innings of them while bowling. After winning the toss Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bat first in quite a batting friendly pitch. Debutant Saim Ayub opened the innings alongside Mohammad Haris but both of them failed to get off to a good start after showing positive glimpses.
Ayub was out for 17 while Haris went back to the pavilion for just 6 runs. 2 of the next 3 batters in the order were out for a duck in their 2nd deliveries. Abdullah Shafique and Azam Khan became recipients of Azmatullah Omarzai and Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman.
