Trinity Fatu, popularly known as Naomi, is a female American professional wrestler, currently working with World Wrestling Entertainment on the Raw brand.  Fatu kicked off her professional wrestling career in 2009 with World Wrestling Entertainment where she was assigned to  Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), and soon bagged the inaugural FCW Divas Championship around her waist.

In 2010, Fatu joined WWE’s developmental territory NXT where she teamed with Kelly to face fellow rookie Maxine and Alicia Fox in winning effort. Being a participant in the all-female third season of NXT, Fatu lost the competition to Kaitlyn, placing second in the season. In 2012, Fatu, who changed her ring name as Naomi, made her WWE main roster debut alongside Cameron as valets for the returning Brodus Clay as a group named The Funkadactyls.

Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time in her career and even became the first African-American woman to capture the title. Naomi relinquished the title due to a legitimate injury. She made a huge return at WrestleMania 33, where she made Bliss submit, successfully regaining the SmackDown Women’s Championship.  At WrestleMania 34 Kickoff show, Naomi made history by becoming the inaugural WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.

EARLY LIFE

Trinity Fatu was born on November 30, 1987 in Sanford, Florida, U.S. She joined Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida. She began dancing at a very young age age of eight and bagged many medals at both state and national competitions. She was also a cheerleader and dancer for the NBA Orlando Magic basketball team franchise from 2007 to mid-2009.

Trinity Fatu resides in Pensacola, Florida, U.S. with her husband  Jonathan Fatu, populalry known by his ring name Jimmy Uso, whom she married  on January 16, 2014. She is currently the step mother to Fatu’s two kids.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE

Fatu started her professional wrestling career in 2009 by signing a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, and was assigned to  Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) where she made her debut by teaming up with Alex Riley against AJ Lee and Brett DiBiase in a losing effort during a mixed tag team match. Fatu rose to fame after defeating Serena Deeb to become the inaugural FCW Divas Champion.

Fatu changed her ring name as Naomi, and made her WWE main roster debut in 2012 where she collaborated with  Cameron as valets for the returning Brodus Clay, where the duo was named as The Funkadactyls. In 2013, Naomi was selected to feature as a member of the main cast on the reality TV show ‘Total Divas’ produced by WWE and E!

At Wrestlemania 30 in 2014, Naomi battled for the AJ Lee’s Divas Championship, where Lee successfully retained her title. Naomi, Tamina and Sasha Banks also formed a group named as Team B.A.D.
