Over the years, IPL franchises have been some of the most charismatic and stunning team owners. From business to Bollywood, these ladies have ruled the roost and literally bossed the IPL on par with men.

1.Preity Zinta – This Bollywood diva is the co-owner and part of Punjab Kings franchise since the first edition of IPL. Along with other co-owners, Preity is known to be a loud and staunch spectator, never missing any of her team’s matches. The diva turned into a household figure in the 2000s, earning her an instant ‘watch-out’ for owner whenever she was in the audience. Known for her bubbly and vibrant character, her on-field expressions and style make her a crowd favorite even today. Zinta has also spent a lot of time at the auction table in recent years to make her team walk towards their first title with every passing year.
2. Kavya Maran – The daughter of Kalanithi Maran, Sun Group emperor is the co-owner of Sunrisers Hyderabad team since 2012. She has been a part of majorly all the auctions and games ever since, known for her deep involvement in the team’s affairs and active role with the management. When she first made her initial appearances in an SRH jersey, she was hailed as the ‘Mystery Girl’. Kavya’s recent appearances have garnered ample spotlight with fans and audiences completing her looks always.

3. Nita Ambani – The spouse of Mukesh Ambani and chairperson of the Reliance Group, Nita Ambani has been associated with the Mumbai Indians since the inception of the IPL back in the day. She is the co-owner with her son Akash Ambani, with MI being the most successful franchise with maximum number of titles so far. Known for her elegant fashion, statement accessories and impressive attires, Nita Ambani has always managed to grab eyeballs. She is frequently seen chanting and praying whenever her team is out on the field.
4. Juhi Chawla – A Bollywood actress is the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders alongside her husband Jay Mehta and Shah Rukh Khan, since its first season in 2008. Juhi Chawla rose to fame when she won the Miss India pageant in 1984 before proceeding to Bollywood, where she rose to prominence as a leading actress in the 1980s and 1990s. Off late her daughter Jahnavi Mehta has been seen attending the IPL auctions and showing her involvement towards the franchise.
Apart from the above-mentioned names, there were female co-owners earlier, who are now no longer associated with the IPL. Shilpa Shetty and Gayatri Reddy were co-owners of Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers respectively. The Royals had won the inaugural IPL in 2008 under the leadership of the late legendary player Shane Warne. Gayatri Reddy, the daughter of industrialist Venkatram Reddy, owned her team and later sold it to the Sun Group and are presently coined as the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
