Morocco’s run towards the Semi-final of FIFA World cup 2022 has been truly wild and unexpected. The Atlas Lions are the only team remaining in the tournament who are yet to suffer a defeat. They topped a group which had teams like Belgium as well as Semi-finalists Croatia.

In both of those matches, Morocco did not concede. Their defense has been their strongest link and they are yet to conceded a goal in 180 minutes of FIFA World cup. They faced Spain in the round of 16 and defeated La Roja on penalties by 3-0.

Morocco squared off against Portugal in the Quarter-final and came out on top yet again. After causing numerous upsets, Morocco are now prepared to cause another as they look to overcome the defending champions in order to reach the grand finale on Sunday.

Head coach of Morocco Walid Regragui is confident about producing yet another upset against the reigning champions. “Its a great challenge for us. We came up against the last runner-up and third team so practically all the best teams in the world. Now this maybe the toughest challenge.”
