Ozil’s agent Erkut Sogut has revealed the Arsenal misfit’s stance on leaving the Emirates during the January transfer window.

Mesut Ozil has not been played by Mikel Arteta since pandemic broke out and also been not included in Arsenal’s premier league and Europa league squad.

Arsenal’s transfer chief Edu said this week he had held “talks” with Ozil over a better solution and leading to transfer speculation to find Ozil new club. Although Ozil agent reveled that there was plenty of interest from other Clubs from different league.
But he insisted the £350,000-per-week midfielder is committed to staying with the Arsenal until his contract expires at the end of the season.

“Of course, there are many clubs interested in him,” Sohut told TMW .

“This has never changed, but his willingness to honour his contract and play hasn’t changed either.

“Again, he’s a man of his word, loyal, and loyalty is hard to find in these times.

“It is not an easy situation. He loves the club and the fans are deeply and is deeply sorry that he has not been given a chance this season.”

Sogut also thinks Arsenal need him more right now as team don’t have a creative midfielder in the squad.

“Mesut was the player who reached 50 Premier League assists, faster than anyone else, in 141 appearances, and Arsenal need exactly this kind of creativity,” the agent said.

“They say he was sidelined for ‘football reasons’ but that’s not something I can comment on. I think the fans want him back on the pitch and at the last match they also chanted his name.”

Sogut said Ozil was unhappy when Mikel left out from Europa league Squad.

“It’s a shame that Mesut isn’t playing,” Sogut said.

“Of course, everyone focuses on his salary and I also understand why.

“But from a personal perspective, I say it’s a waste considering his talent and creativity.

“And they never told me he wouldn’t be in the squad.

“It was a surprise to all of us, something that clearly hit him hard.”

Arsenal will target a first win in six Premier League games when they host Southampton on Wednesday night.
