Manipur’s Rex Singh Bags 10 Wickets in an Innings in Cooch Behar Trophy

Rex Singh from Manipur created history after bagging 10 wicket haul in an innings against Arunachal Pradesh in Ananthpur. He scalped a five wicket haul in the first innings bundling the team on a small total of 138 in 54.4 overs.

Manipur too faced the heat and was dismissed on 122 with 16 runs lead under belt. Rex continued his magical form in the second innings too; he took all the 10 wickets in the second innings by just conceding 11 runs in 9.5 overs, which also included 6 maidens.

Five batsmen of Arunachal Pradesh were dismissed on a golden duck, only 1 batsman Shivender Sharma passed the score of 12 in the innings. Arunachal Pradesh set the target of 53, which Manipur easily achieved in 8th over by a margin of 10 wickets.

Rex Singh has already proved his mettle for his state in the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare trophy.  He has played 2 Ranji Trophy games and 6 Vijay Hazare trophy games till date.
