Manchester United’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is all furious and disappointed with his former players who joined Milan last summer

Former Manchester United players Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku were transferred to the Serie A giants Inter Milan last summer, wherein Lukaku was bought worth £73m in August, while Sanchez was on-board by the team on loan.

According to Solskjaer, both of them were struggling in terms of form since last season at United, and it has become difficult for them to adjust to the new vibe and environment that he is trying to create at Old Trafford.

While talking about his reformation project, Ole said, “I have not thought ‘Oh, I wish I had kept him’,”

“When you decide to let players go it is because of different reasons and some of those we let go were not right for the culture I was trying to build.

“That is just my belief and that is why we kept the players here with the right attitude.

“We know they will run through a brick wall for the club and for each other – not everyone did.”

With the upcoming FA cup match between the reds and Tranmere on Sunday, Solskjaer believes that they might defeat the Tranmeres, only if some of his not performing players are out of the bay.

“Of course I want to go as far as possible. I’d love to go to the final and win it,” he said.

“It is now a game at Prenton Park with the pitch as it is. It is the romance of the FA Cup for me. That is how I remember watching it on the telly.

“They have a chance – (the pitch) is a leveler. They have all the advantages.

“I am not worried about injuries because if we do have worries I am sure the officials will look at the pitch and wait. I am sure it’s safe.

“There is no disrespect to them but we are a Premier League club and they are League One so we should be able to go there and outplay them – though that won’t be possible on that pitch so we are up for a scrap and that’s, for me, the FA Cup.

“It is a big game for us. After two defeats we need to go out there and show we can fight and show we are not going to put our hoodies up and walk away.

“These players like a challenge and will fly into challenges with the aim of starting a winning run.”
