Manchester City crush Arsenal 4-1! Is this the end of their Premier League title chase?

Manchester City crush Arsenal

Arsenal played their fourth consecutive Premier League match without a win. In the last four games, they have only added three points to their total. The Gunners played three tied matches before losing 4-1 to their title rival Manchester City, jeopardizing their chances of winning the league trophy for the first time in 19 years.

City dominated the game from the start, making it impossible for the visitors to put up a fight at the Etihad. Guardiola’s team took the lead after only 7 minutes as Kevin De Bruyne scored. He scored a superb out-of-the-box goal with a grounded shot into the bottom corner, beating Ramsdale at his near post. Ramsdale could have handled that shot better, but he made up for it by making some amazing saves to deny Haaland. Stones scored a superb header from a freekick provided by De Bruyne to put the team up by two goals before halftime.

De Bruyne struck again in the second half to make it three goals for the Cityzens. Odegaard’s erroneous pass sparked the attack, which resulted in a clever finish. De Bruyne defeated Ramsdale by placing the ball between the defender’s legs and into the goalpost. Both of De Bruyne’s goals were provided by Haaland, which is usually the other way around. However, Haaland couldn’t keep his name off the score sheet and scored in the dying minutes to surpass Salah’s goal count of 32 in a season, reaching 33 in his debut season.

This season, Arsenal has lost both home and away games against Manchester City. They were not performing like the league leaders yesterday, with the majority of their players underperforming. Arteta’s team has lost its edge at a key time in the league, as they are currently only two points ahead of City despite playing two more games than them.

City, on the other hand, is in good form, and with the FA Cup final and Champions League semi finals coming up, they have a solid chance of completing the triple, as they are considered the best potential candidate for each league trophy.
