And thankfully Manavjit acquired proper guidance from his father which helped him to establish himself into a promising shooter.

The 42 years old Indian shooter was born on 3rd November 1976 in Ratta Khera Punjab Singh Wala village, Firozpur district in Punjab. He was born to Gurbir Singh.
He completed his schooling from the Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh. Manavjit further studied at the Yadavindra Public School in Chandigarh and Delhi Public School in New Delhi.
He completed his graduation from Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu is married to Kangan. The couple was also blessed with a baby boy in 2011.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
In 2006, Manavjit Singh Sandhu held a No. 1 world rank in the Trap shooting and third world rank in 2010.
In 2006, the shooter earned a gold medal at the ISSF World Shooting Championships and also became the very first Indian shot gun shooter who acquired a crown of World Champion.
Manavjit earned 4 silver at the Asian Games in 1998, 2002 and 2006 respectively.
He has also earned a gold medal in the trap discipline at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 & a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2006.
The shooter even owns six Asian Clay Shooting Championships medals.
In 2008, he participated in the Olympics and finished in the 12th position. In 2004, he finished tied 19th place at the Olympics.
In 2010, Manavjit clinched a gold medal at the Commonwealth Shooting Championship gold & in the following week earned a gold medal at the World Cup held in Mexico.
In 2014 Manavjit further added another gold medal at the World Cup held in Tucson, USA.
In 2016, he got successfully qualified for the Rio Olympics. Unfortunately, he completed at a sixteenth place in the qualification round of the Man’s trap.
