Maldives were bowled out for 125 for 9 in their full 20 overs. Sheraz Iqbal top‑scored with 47 from 36 balls, hitting one four and four sixes, while Azyan Farhath added 28 (25) with two fours and a six. Pavandeep Singh was the leading bowler, taking 4 for 13 in four overs, and Vijay Unni claimed 2 for 14 in two overs.
In reply, Malaysia chased the target in just 8.5 overs, finishing on 127 for 4. Opener Syed Aziz smashed 57 off 18 balls, striking nine fours and three sixes, and Nazmus Sakib contributed 31 from 13 balls with five fours and a six. Umar Adam claimed 3 for 43 in four overs for Malaysia.
