League of Legends Welcomes Briar, Its Latest Champion Eager for Carnage

League of Legends players have a new champion to sink their teeth into, and her name is Briar, the Restrained Hunger. Available in the shop for 7,800 Blue Essence or 975 Riot Points, she’s ready to make her mark in the Summoner’s Rift. However, if you’re looking to save some Blue Essence, her price will drop to 6,300 after two weeks, offering a more budget-friendly option for players.

The League of Legends’ new champion Briar is a jungler with a unique playstyle that centres around her relentless hunger for blood. She has no innate health regeneration, making her reliant on taking down specific targets to satisfy her insatiable appetite. It’s a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that defines her as a “feast or famine” champion. Her pillory restrains her, but she can unlock it to tap into her full power.

This power is most evident in her ultimate ability, “Certain Death.” When she activates it, she kicks her hemolith in a chosen direction, propelling herself at incredible speed towards any enemy champion hit. Those unfortunate enough to be in her path will truly understand the meaning behind the ability’s name.

Briar’s arrival also brings a new skin line, “Street Demons,” which depicts champions in demonic street attire, embracing a rebellious and mischievous spirit. Alongside Briar’s launch skin, players can explore Street Demons outfits for Neeko, Dr. Mundo, Zyra, Brand, and Rengar, each priced at 1,350 RP.

However, Briar’s release timing prevents her from participating in this year’s World Championship, scheduled to start in a few weeks. The entire tournament will be played on Patch 13.19, set to release on September 27th. Alongside this patch, players can also expect another exciting skin line celebrating life after death.
