Lakers beat LA Clippers 103-101 in their first match after NBA restart

It was one of the most riveting matches at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Arena as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated their arch-rivals LA Clippers by 103-101 on Friday. 

The pair of Anthony Davis and LeBron James by flabbergasting the Clippers roster as the took their side to 35:23 at the end of the first quarter. Lakers star forward Anthony Davis scored 34 points including eight rebounds and four assists.

From the Clippers’ side, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George started off from where they left back in March before the season suspended. Paul George blasted with 30 points along with five rebounds and three assists in over 34 minutes of the game. 

Clippers did mark a return in the second quarter by scoring 29 points against Lakers’ 19 points. Dion Waiters rose for the Lakers as he paired up with LeBron and carried his team to 54 points. 

Clippers also staged a comeback in the third quarter as they outnumbered the Lakers by three points by scoring 25 points. The scores after the end of the third quarter stood 77-76. 

The fourth quarter was a very close contest but a throw from Lebron James in the final minutes of the match and created a difference as the score ticked 103-101. 

With this win, the Lakers strengthened their position in the first place in the Western Conference and also inched towards the postseason.
