The former England Wicketkeeper was hyped to fill the shoes of Alec Stewart behind the stumps for the Brits, however, things didn’t work well for Foster, as he was found in and out of the county squad due to his form which failed to replicate Stewart’s performance.
Foster retired from all forms of cricket in 2018 and has worked as a batting consultant with Glamorgan. He has also been involved with Sydney Thunder in Big Bash League, Khulna Titans in the Bangladesh Premier League, England, and England Lions.
He will be joining the KKR Coaching squad, which will be led by former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum, who replaced Jaques Kallis as head coach. The two-time IPL champions will be led by Dinesh Kartik in the upcoming season which will commence from 29th March.
The team has made it to playoffs thrice since its last title victory in 2014. And were expelled out from the league stage twice.
