Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal believes that India opener Rohit Sharma hits the best sixes in international cricket. The vice-captain of India’s limited-overs cricket was in the form of his life in 2019, and although he began 2020 on a low, he found his form back in the fourth ODI against New Zealand. Kamran chose Rohit during a question and answer session with fans on the social networking platform Twitter.

Meanwhile, the keeper-batsman has not played international cricket since April 2017 but has been performing fairly well in domestic cricket. He enjoyed a good time in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2019-20, where he was the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 906 runs in 11 matches for Central Punjab, which included three centuries and three fifties, at an average of 60.40.

Akmal is now preparing for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he will represent the Peshawar Zalmi. Last year, he finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the competition with 357 runs in 13 games, which included three half-centuries, at an average of 27.46.

Among the other questions, he also picked Chennai Super Kings as his favourite IPL franchise.

Akmal also picked up Virat Kohli as the best batsman amid the ‘Fab 4’ of the modern era. The 35-year-old Akmal has played 53 Tests, 157 ODIs, and 58 T20Is in a career spanning over almost two decades and has scored 3236 runs in One-day Internationals including five tons and 10 half-centuries.

Most recently, Akmal was in the headlines for lashing out at selectors after his snub from the squad for three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at home despite performing well in domestic cricket. After being ignored by the selectors, Akmal had taken to Twitter to express that he was hurt but vowed to work harder and find himself back in international cricket soon again. His fitness has come under the scanner several times but he proved his fitness in this edition of domestic cricket.
