Jahanbakhsh breaks down after he scores his first goal for Brighton

When asked regarding his emotional breakdown after his goal, the player responded to the media;

“It was a great feeling after a long time,” said the Seagulls star.

“Before the game I felt good and we’ve been doing great in the last couple of games as a team but we’ve been unlucky. This game we had to finish it in the best way possible.

“I’m very glad to score and help the team win the game.

“I’ve been waiting for this chance for a long time and I’ve tried to do my best for the team and I’m very happy to help the team with a goal. We’ve done everything as a team and I tried to be part of the win today.”

It was the 27th Premier League appearance for the Iranian striker since he arrived from AZ Alkmaar, last summer. With his goal for Brighton and Hove Albion, Alireza Jahanbhaksh became the third ever Iranian to score a goal in the Premier League history.

Can the goal against AFC Bournemouth change the fortunes of Alireza Jahanbhaksh in the Premier League? Is it the goal which the Iranian looking for to end his misery?
