“It’s Like Cancer that Exist in Our System” Said Head Coach Darren Sammy on Caribbean Performance in Test Cricket
The 2nd Test match Between India and West Indies would began from 10th October 2025 in Delhi where these two teams would compete against each other.
India would be looking to stamp their authority and win series on the other end, Caribbean team would be looking to salvage their pride at least level the series by 1-1.
The Kind of ecosystem Indian team currently posses it won’t be easy for West Indies to win 2nd match and level the series.
Ahead of 2nd Test match several statements came out from West Indies Head Coach Darren Sammy where he talked about few things why West Indies cricket is lacking big time to deliver.
“I mean the result that you are witnessing is not something which we are getting now, It’s been running from quite a long time”
“I also know we are under microscope for quite some time. I am in the middle and we are open to criticism to be criticized by everybody. But the root of all problem doesn’t start from here. It’s something that started way back. It’s like Cancer that’s already in the system. If you do get cancer you know what happens. Again its a breast cancer Month. So it’s a way to put this problem. That our problems don’t lie on surface . It’s deep rooted in the system ” he added.
He also talked about we will work on controlables and give us best with the Kind of facility we have at the moment.
Many Players have revealed Financial instability which is bringing West Indies in bad light.
“The difference between us and rest of the top 3-4 teams is quite a mile by large distance. It’s no wonder to admit that we are struggling financially that’s why players like Brian Lara and Shiv Nariane Chanderpaul are going to announce event so that we can have sponsors based on that we can add more in our facilities as well in our domestic ecosystem so that players could flourish at senior level”
West Indies Cricket has been plauging from quite some time now if things could not be taken into consideration they would become obsolete for sure.
