“ISL is not Taking Indian Football Anywhere” said Coach Igor Stimac

The Indian Super League started in 2013 have failed big time to attract the needs and demands of ardent football fans where they could come in huge number and support their favorite team.

There are various factors which has led to the absolute downfall for ISL as it has failed to strengthened the domestic talent in the country, failed big time to bring audience on the ground also failed marketability and below par footballing skills have been absolute let down for Indian Football.

Talking about latest development, Coach Manolo Marquez have parted ways with Indian National Football Team on mutual basis.

With his retirement problems with Indian Football is steading to larger extent.

Joining this bandwagon is none other Former India Coach Igor Stimac said while talking to distinct media outlets where he said ” ISL is not helping Indian football at all, Its actually making problem even more worse for them”

“The All India Football Federation is run badly without any clear idea on what to do and how to do it” said Stimac told Toi.

“Players are not progressing their game at all in leagues like ISL, which is without game intensity and pressure of results. Also there is no relegation and lack of quality games”

“FIFA windows are not long enough for preparation time when they are facing strong opponents, So AIFF needs to reschedule the ISL Calendar in favor of National Side”

“Unrealistic player salaries in ISL where they are paid heavily that pushes him outside the comfort zone so most of them got stuck at early stages of their careers focusing only on club duties”

Indian Super League have failed badly, where right set of planning needs to develop, to make this league extremely popular.

The Indian Football is Facing severe problems to be shared in the below format which include:

1. Poor infrastructure when it comes to tapping talent from grassroot level to Top Most level.

2. Poor scouting Programs, where they have failed to attract top most talent in club level football.

3. Coaching Methodology is not up to the mark.

4. The quality of Indian Football is below par, there is no intensity you can witness, whenever they are playing the middle.

5. Overall, Game is pretty average that needs to change be it physically when it comes to fitness or mentally adapting the psychological aspect of the game.

India needs to work on all aspects of the game, be it federation executing policies at domestic level, infrastructure set on place, quality of football, selecting players on merit and development players in back up to support and strengthen Indian Football.

Coach Stimac did wonders as coach, where he significantly guided India towards winning many matches and subsequently improving their rankings, but all has gone down haywire now, and systematic system based approach is needed in order to wonders at the International stage to wider extent.

Indian Football is in complete tatters, and they would need changes going forward otherwise you would not see any fruitful results coming out from Indian Football ecosystem at least for next 10-12 years.

You can certainly watch next edition of ISL live on Star Sports Channel and the same would be streamed on Jiohotstar app.

Indian football ecosystem have failed to produce backup talent for Sunil Chhetri which in itself is a testament to poor hallmark of Indian Football and need quick fixes going forward.
