The Indian Super League 11th edition have been concluded now with Mohun Bagan Super Giants beating beating Bengaluru FC by 2-1 in the night of the final at Salt Lake Stadium Kolkata.
They won this contest against Bengaluru FC in extra time, the credit should be given to entire team but most importantly, Jamie Mclaren who scored 12 goals in this season trailing behind Sunil Chhetri who scored 14 goals so far in this recently concluded edition.
With this victory, Mohun Bagan Super Giants won ISL title second time after 2022-23.
They have not only won ISL trophy but they successfully finished at the top of the league stage and eventually became ISL Shield and ISL winner.
Considering the crux of the match, Mohun Bagan FC was trailing behind Bengaluru FC after their own player Alberto Rodriguez conceded self goal for their side.

Mohun Bagan as football Club has immense legacy, they weren’t part of this league till 2019 season, from 2020-21 season onwards this popular club comes into existence.
They initially Joined this league as ATK Mohun Bagan, where Atletico Kolkata was already part of this league they merged with Mohun Bagan who were part of I-League(India’s Second Most Popular League after ISL) before 2020.
Later ATK was disbanded from the league, Mohun Bagan retained their spot and later in 2023 they merged with Super Giants group who already have acquired team in IPL popularly known as Lucknow Super Giants eventually Mohun Bagan Super Giants came in existence.
However Bengaluru FC as club was formed in 2013, they started playing in I-League later joined in ISL from 2017-18 onwards, currently owned by JSW Group Parth Zindal.
Considering all permutations and Combinations, lots of areas needs to be worked by Official Stakeholders where they can market this league vividly as the marquee event is currently lagging behind other top tier leagues in India across distinct sport including the likes of- Indian Premier League(Cricket) & Pro Kabaddi League(Kabaddi).
