IPL 2025: Which Venue will be used to Play remaining matches of Marquee Event?

The Indian Premier League 2025, were reaching towards its penultimate end until it faces a halt for right reasons as our Country armed forces are fighting on border against Terrorist based Nation Pakistan.

All BCCI members, IPL stakeholders and franchise owners had a brief meeting yesterday, where they unanimously decided that IPL will be extended for a week post that situation will be reviewed and revised scheduled for popular marquee event will be released.

Based on Latest developments, if things get fine by a week where are the possible venues where IPL 2025 could be organized we will explore all possible reason to be shared in the below format:

Kolkata: Yes they have appeared front runner to organize IPL 2025, remaining matches as they have successfully organized last league stage matches successfully between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders which home side lost.

The atmosphere looks rock solid and good where fans emerged in huge numbers to support their favorite team.

Chennai: The other possible venue which could be used, is Chennai which is extremely far where matches could be organized successfully, also fans are passionate about Cricket irrespective of teams who are playing they will come and support them so it could be other possible venue to organize IPL 2025.

Hyderabad and Bengaluru:

Yes you heard it right venues like Hyderabad and Bengaluru are far fetched from borders, they are absolutely safe and IPL official can organize the marquee event simply at these places so no need to worry about it.

Lucknow:

Lucknow could be possibly another venue where IPL 2025 could be organized there is no  need to worry about that where the event could be successfully held as the place is certainly sound and safe considering there are no borders available at that location.

Venues decision will be based on variety of factors which include- safety of players, place farther from borders and stakeholders interest, broadcasters safety and most importantly fan engagement and involvement to witness these matches live from stadium.

Let’s Understand what BCCI thought process on this matter as they have extended their emotions on distinct media outlets where he said “A week is long time when it comes to such matters. The board is certainly chalking different contingency plan. But initial feeling suggest that BCCI is planning to shift remaining matches at four locations primarily which include- Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru if the league resumes next week. If things get normal at borders we will explore all possible venues at all original locations”

The other factor which will be kept in consideration is the amount of security they need to employ considering IPL remaining matches are held after a week especially due to current scenario.

However, If Board fails to organize IPL this week a separate calendar window could be possibly used in September considering the current India- Pakistan scenario it seems that IPL could be organized in the September month window.

Most probably Asia Cup will most probably not held in September could be possible venues where IPL remaining matches will be held as considering the current situation it doesn’t seem that IPL could resume after a week.

However other option is also available, where there are extreme doubts that India’s Tour of Bangaldesh will undergo considering the current miniority(Hindu attacks) in Bangladesh, Government might not send team for the tour of Bangladesh in that time space IPL remaining window will be held but the biggest problem would be the availability of International Players in those window.

As rest of the foreign cricket board allows their team to be part of IPL for 2 month window, currently overseas players are going back to their own country so it would be interesting to see whether, those players will be available in a week time.

BCCI all keen to retain 3+1 rule ahead of next IPL Mega Auction that will be held in 2025

BCCI Current Perspective on IPL 2025:

The Indian Premier League 2025 have been wonderful so far where 10 best teams are competing against each other for the prestigious title.

Currently 57 matches have been played and remaining 17 more matches will be played so if the league which was suppose to get concluded on 25th May 2025, if it starts in a week time would mean that it would be extended till 1st June 2025.

Let’s explore all perspective from BCCI  and IPL stakeholders response on how they see IPL 2025 at neutral angle will be shared in the below format:

“The BCCI have formally shared with us that suspension of current IPL 2025 have been done for a week- during this time , the current situation will be reviewed”

“Cancelling the league at the moment wouldn’t have given right impression in the world especially to enemies, that we got intimated by them and cancelled this tournament so BCCI is eager to organize this league soon as they have already had a discussion with Government and reviewing all current situation at the moment” said BCCI source talked to TOI.

“The other option which would be going ahead to involve Indian players where they would be no Foreign players, and still with Indian players bench strength they can play remainder of games in IPL 2025” said  BCCI sources to TOI.

The BCCI and IPL stakeholders are committed to organize this league in a weeks time also the teams who are at the top of the points table would be keenly looking to play remaining matches soon as they are in rhythm and the game sense have been top notch. Also if IPL is organized in overseas conditions most of Indian players who are doing well in our conditions would not be able to adjust to overseas conditions.

All these conditions would be taken in mind, in order to decide the fate of IPL 2025 as the leagues so far have been successfully organized where some of the most exciting matches have been played where one Super Over Game will be played, between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals where the former won against latter due to brilliance of Mitchell Starc and Kl Rahul with the bat, in order to chase down that total.

Let’s see how things pace up in IPL 2025 remaining matches based on how this important event will be paced going forward.

You can catch remaining matches of IPL 2025, for Star Sports and the same will be streamed on Jiohotstar app.
