IPL 2021: Which players have set the highest base price for the auction?

As the BCCI is gearing up for the 14th edition of IPL, the player registration consisting of 1097 players have been closed including 814 in India and 283 foreign players signing up to be a part of the IPL 2021 Player Auction set to take place in Chennai on 18th February 2021.

Players from 15 different countries have registered for the IPL 2021 auction. Only 61 maximum spots are to be filled in the upcoming auction with 22 spots to be filled for the overseas players.

 Taking about the base price, a total of 11 players have registered themselves for the base price of INR 2 crore. As per the latest report from ESPN Cricinfo, the players who have registered themselves in the 2 crore bracket includes Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Kedar Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, Mark Wood, and Colin Ingram.

There will be some new names who are yet to make debut in the cash rich league which includes world number 1 T20 batsman David Malan have also listed himself for INR 1.5 Crore while the other players who falls in the list having the same base price includes stars like Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Alex Carey, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jhye Richardson, Tom Curran, Alex Hales, and David Willey.

Indian veteran pacer S Sreesanth have also enrolled himself with a base price of 75 lakh.

Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Hanuma Vihari, Marnus Labuschagne, and Sheldon Cottrell have listed their base prices at INR 1 crore while Arjun Tendulkar son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar who made his debut for Mumbai in the recently concluded Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy 2021 enrolled himself  for a base price of INR 20 lakhs. The upcoming auction of cash rich league is slated to take place on 18th February 2021 in Chennai.
