IPL 2020, RCB VS SRH: Different goals on mind as RCB take on SRH

RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at Sharjah Cricket Stadium fully aware that they have to play out of their skin to defeat an orange army. Sunrisers would not be easy pushovers after they thrashed Delhi Capitals in a one-sided encounter.

SRH have to win to stay in playoff contention and winning both the matches still would not guarantee them playoff place as they would depend on other results to go their way. Warner would hope that batsman would continue the same way they played against DC as their bowling is capable of defending par+ scores. The middle-order would also like to score some more runs so that if Warner has an off day then SRH still have something for their bowlers to bowl.

They would hope that Saha and Shankar both would be fit to play RCB as SRH need every inform player to play against RCB. Their bowling has been their strong point with Rashid and Natarajan stand out performers and likes of Holder, Sandeep, Shankar giving proper backup. Royal Challengers Bengaluru need to forget about the last two matches when they take on SRH and look to deliver complete performance to qualify for playoffs. Their top-order batting has been among runs with Padikkal, Virat, Finch and Devillers contributing at different stages of the tournament.

Philippe who replaced Finch against MI scored a handy 33. If there is one area of concern it is RCB’s lower middle order who have not scored when top order has fallen cheaply and should bat with more responsibility. RCB would also hope that Saini gets back to full fitness as they are missing his pace up front. Steyn who replaced Saini in the last match was expensive and leaked runs. Udana will replace him against SRH has he can be effective with his yorkers and cutters.

Chahal who had an off day would look to put performance as he did in the previous encounter between two teams. SRH has to win to keep their survival hopes alive and would come out all guns blazing so RCB has to be better prepared. Its kind of winner take all scenario and SRH have their noses in front and start the game as favourites.
