IPL 2020, RCB VS DC: Table toppers battle for top spot

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Delhi Capitals at Dubai International Stadium, in what be contest between two top of table teams. Both teams have won their last match and will be eager to win to take the top position for some time. RCB, who have probably their best start for many years, were clinical against Royals and outplayed them in all departments. RCB death bowling was still not at its best but was marginally better than previous two games.

Chahal and Saini have been exceptional for them in the bowling unit with others giving adequate support. Their 3 spinner theory could backfire but till the time its working RCB would not be complaining. Batting has been doing good, except one bad game against Kings X1. Padikkal, Devilliers has been consistent and with Virat hitting a half-century against Royals-RCB will be confident but would want some runs from lower-middle order when needed.

Fielding still looks a bit iffy and needs to be addressed. Delhi Capitals who were almost being on verge of getting robbed in their match against KKR but held their nerves to win the match by 20 runs. Batsman had a great day by scoring boundaries and sixes at will to score a mammoth 228.

All in top 4 were among runs and this will make DC management happy. Bowlers were carted around the park but then Sharjah ground is a bowler’s graveyard. Nortje and Harshal were brilliant against KKR and their combined spell of 8-0-67-5 was the eventual difference between two teams. Dubai ground is bigger and will give bowlers some relief.

It can be called a battle between DC bowling and RCB batting. Teams who bat first might have an advantage defending. Looking at the way both teams have played so far Delhi team start favourites.
