Australian opening batsman, Aaron Finch is all set to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Finch made his debut in IPL in 2010 but got going in the 2013 edition of the IPL.

Looking at the RCB’s line-up, Finch hopes to secure a place in the line-up. A top-order specialist, Aaron Finch’s role would be to take as much advantage of the power play overs.

Hopefully, I get a game in that batting line-up. I think if I am in the starting line-up, my role will be to try and take advantage during the powerplays and hopefully get us off to a flying start.” Finch told in an interview with Sportstar.

Australia’s limited over’s captain believes getting the tournament off to a good start would be the key to reach the playoffs. He further talked about RCB’s inconsistency in the tournament, saying that it doesn’t matter as they have a new squad in place this year.

“I think getting off to a good start gives us the best chance to make the playoffs, so that will be the main focus.” He said

Every year there are different people in the squad, so I don’t think it is something that needs to be addressed. The nature of T20 cricket is that any team can win on any given day.” He added.

Aaron Finch is part of Australia’s upcoming series against England. He will reach UAE after the completion of that series. Though, Cricket Australia is yet to give the non-objection certificate to the Australian players to play in the IPL.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin on 19th September 2020. The final of the tournament will take place on 10th November 2020. All the matches will be held in three venues- Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
