IPL 2020, KKR VS CSK: Chennai look to continue winning run against Kolkata

Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Chennai Super Kings at Abu Dhabi, labelled as a clash between a power hitter and a tactician. Both teams are on 4 points but KKR has played one game less. Chennai gave a fitting reply to their critics with a complete demolition of Kings X1 and moved to 6th place. KKR did give a good account of themselves although they fell short by 20 runs in their chase against Capitals. KKR would give Narine another go and would hope that left-hander comes good. KKR have the option of opening with Rahul Tripathi as well, who was magnificent in his 16 ball stay at the crease.

KKR would also hope that Russell would start playing with the same impact as he did last IPL. Bowlers would also feel relieved as Abu Dhabi have bigger grounds as compared to Sharjah. Cummins and co would like to forget the last game and would try to execute their plans in a better way. They would also want the fielding to back the bowlers as on a bigger ground fielding becomes very important.

CSK on the other hand would be a confident lot after their performance against Kings and would like to continue the momentum. CSK would hope that Watson would continue from last game and take the game to the opposition. Du Plessis would play the sheet anchor role and batsman coming down the order would like to continue the good work and score at a rapid pace.

Bowling would want to be spot on with their execution. Chawla and Jadeja still are not at their best and CSK management would hope they get back to best soon or they might think of giving Karn Sharma a chance.

Fielding might be a hindrance for them as there are some average fielders and big boundary might expose them. Man to Man, KKR are stronger than CSK and start as favourites, even though CSK won their last match by 10 wickets. How CSK spinners would handle the middle order firepower remains to be seen and who so ever wins the battle might be won the game.
