Indian Under 20 Striker Vikram Partap Singh Signs a three year Deal with Mumbai City FC

Indian Under 20 Striker Vikram Partap Singh signs a three year deal with ISL Club Mumbai City FC for the upcoming season. With his new deal, he will be staying with the club till 2023 with an option to extend for a further year. He started his youth carrier in Chandigarh Football Academy and rose to the senior team in 2018 where he got an opportunity to captain Indian Arrows.

He is certainly the best Indian Talent in the country with a goal-scoring instinct and has netted goals five times in 27 appearances he has made playing for the Indian Arrows. He has also represented the country at the U-16, U-17 and U-20 levels – including the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship, where India performed well – and boasts of a strong goal-scoring record across all age categories.

“This is a big day in my career and in my life. Joining Mumbai City means playing with the best players in the country and in the league and not to mention, under a great coach like Sergio Lobera,” Vikram said.

“It was impossible to pass up an opportunity like this for a young footballer like me. I have a lot to learn, a lot to prove and I can’t wait to get started,” he added.

Also, Mumbai City head coach Sergio Lobera is elated after Vikram joined the Mumbai City FC and said that he is an exciting talent and him joining our club will add more confidence in our squad.

“We remain committed to our focus on youth and Vikram’s arrival at the club reinforces it. Even at his age, Vikram shows tremendous maturity in his game and it was evident during his time with the Indian Arrows.” Lobera said.

Indian Super League has provided a platform for young Indian talent to showcase their skills and get an opportunity to play for India. As the league which started in 2013 has grown with every passing year and with best overseas players participating in every league has grown the stature of the tournament.
