Indian super league last stage started. The race to playoffs has begin between franchises.

India super league (ISL) started the journey of carrying india to the level of global football. This league builded the concept of helping the players from rural areas to showcase their skill on national level.

This years the season has been of many ups and downs and now it’s on edge of finishing of off.  Mumbai city fc is dominating the points table with 46 points in 20 games. They have performed top notch in this season. They have already qualified for the playoffs. Defending champion Hyderabad fc has sealed the second spot on the points table with 39 points in 19 matches. They have  qualified for the semifinals.

Now, the race is between the four ATK mohan bagan,  Bengal fc, kerela blasters and odisa fc. The fight has started and every team will try their best to make it to semi finals. The redemption of goa and odisa depends in their own hand. Both the teams have got one more match The knockout matches are scheduled on March 3 and the semifinals will be held on 7 march. The final will be played in Goa on 18th march.

ISL is football league started in india to support local indian players to help them to reach international level.  It was founded in 2013 and is organized by the Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) in collaboration with the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The league runs from November to March and features ten teams from different parts of India. Indian businesses and tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani supported this league, and invested a huge amount of money to make this tournament successfull.

The ISL has helped in promoting and popularizing football in India, attracting both local and foreign players to participate in the league. Several high-profile football players and coaches, including the likes of Diego Forlan, Alessandro Del Piero, Bernard Mendy and Zico, have been associated with the league in the past. Players like them helped ISL to gain popularity around the world. It helped indian players learn from international players who have been shining for their own franchise from long term.

This season has been fantastic and the semifinals are going to be top notch. The level of skills the players have shown in this tournament is outstanding.
