Indian Boxing Update: Interim Panel takes charge ahead of BFI Elections Delay
There is so much happening in Indian Boxing, and credit should be given to all stakeholders who have worked hard behind the scenes to make this entity grow however considering the current development, Indian Boxing is in complete tatters.
Ad-Hoc panel have been recently appointed by World Boxing Federation instead of International Boxing Federation(IBF) who lost affiliation, due to their inability to host elections on time.
The same circus is going in BFI (Boxing Federation of India) after their inability, to held elections with time various names keeps on dropping with time whether Ajay Singh is contesting for Presidential post or Anurag Thakur (Approved Himachal Pradesh Government) will contest for it.
The latest to join the bandwagon due to delay in state body elections in Indian Boxing, Interim panel has taken charge to reinstate Elite Boxing System and select coaches and support staff for the Upcoming coaching camps for both men’s and women’s with immediate effect.
The biggest question which arises why National Sports Federations is not doing anything, since Feb 2 elections were suppose to be held it hasn’t held yet which clearly means several postponements and deferrals.

The Ad-Hoc panel constituted by World Boxing will be responsible to establish timelines for new regime change who will rule for next 4 years which include 2025-2029.
Former Boxing Federation of India Tresurer Digvijay SIngh stated ” Ajay SIngh have been running in dictatorial manner which led to Boxer’s Performance in the Paris Games where the accountability for the performance haven’t taken place”
Indian Boxing needs changes at administrative level and infrastructural policies should be established so that players can come up the ranks and win title.
