The Indian government introduced the ‘Rising Together’ concept as its official vision for a 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the initiative could dramatically reshape the country’s future, while the Indian Olympic Association, led by former sprinter PT Usha, expressed enthusiasm about channeling the nation’s vibrant energy.
PT Usha said, “For us, ‘Rising Together’ is not simply a slogan — it is a powerful commitment to unite India’s energy, ambition and diversity behind a shared Olympic dream,” and noted that a formal presentation to the International Olympic Committee is scheduled for the following month.
