According to The Hindu and Hindustan Times, the International Olympic Committee has officially recorded India as an interested party for the 2036 Olympic Games, joining six other nations that have also indicated a desire to host the event. The IOC noted that no further parties will be considered after October 31.

The Hindu added that the interested parties are expected to submit their Games proposals in November, with the IOC keeping this timetable in view. This deadline aligns with the IOC’s statement that the window for new interested parties closes on October 31, after which no additional submissions will be accepted.
