IND vs BAN 1st Test: A dominant performance from India on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh has put the hosts in a commanding position. India’s bowlers were relentless, dismissing Bangladesh for a paltry 149 runs in their first innings. This leaves them trailing India’s first innings total of 376 by a significant 227 runs.
The day started with Bangladesh resuming their innings at 22 for 2, still facing the daunting task of erasing India’s substantial lead. However, India’s bowlers continued their dominance from the previous day, with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj picking up early wickets. The Bangladesh batting lineup crumbled under pressure, and they were all out for 149 in just 47.1 overs.

Bumrah was the pick of the Indian bowlers, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 50. Siraj also contributed significantly, taking 2 wickets for 30 runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Akash Deep picked up 2 wickets each to complete the demolition of the Bangladesh batting.
The Indian bowlers’ success can be attributed to their disciplined bowling, accurate line and length, and ability to extract movement from the pitch. The Bangladesh batsmen struggled to cope with the quality of the Indian bowling attack and were unable to build partnerships.

IND vs BAN 1st Test: India’s First Inning
India’s first innings total of 376 runs, built on the back of half-centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja and a brilliant ton from Ravichandran Ashwin proved to be too much for Bangladesh to chase. The Indian batsmen displayed a solid technique and played aggressive shots when required.
With a significant first-innings lead, India is in a strong position to win the match. They will be looking to bowl Bangladesh out cheaply in their second innings and set a challenging target for them to chase. If India can maintain their dominance, they could wrap up the match as early as the third day.
The Bangladesh team will need to regroup and come up with a better plan for their second innings. They will need to bat more patiently and avoid making careless mistakes. If they can manage to score a decent total in their second innings, they can still make a match of it.
Overall, it was a disappointing day for Bangladesh, who were was outclassed in all departments. Conversely, India was in complete control of the game and looked set to extend their dominance in the series.
