Hundred Womens 2023: Alice Davidson Richards Star in Northern Superchargers vs Birmingham Phoenix

Alice Davidson-Richards was the star of the show as Northern Superchargers beat Birmingham Phoenix by seven wickets in the fourth match of the 2023 Women’s Hundred on July 3 at Leeds. Davidson-Richards took 3-20 with the ball, restricting Phoenix to 110-8, before scoring an unbeaten quick 11 off 5 balls to help Superchargers to their target with 22 balls to spare.

Opener Sophie Devine top-scored for Phoenix with 46, but she was the only batter to make a significant contribution. Alice Davidson-Richards was the pick of the bowlers, taking wickets at regular intervals to keep Phoenix on the back foot.

In reply, Superchargers got off to a good start, with Marie Kelly and Phoebe Litchfield putting on 44 for the second wicket. Litchfield then went on to score 42 not out, anchoring the innings and seeing Superchargers home.
