The former Zimbabwe captain, Heath Streak, is no more, as he passed away at the age of 49. This has certainly shocked the cricketing world. He was the best Bowler Zimbabwe has produced to date. Streak was a huge pillar of the success Zimbabwe got during the late 90s and early 2000s. He is the highest wicket-taker in the history of Zimbabwe Cricket. This clearly shows the impact he created on the team.

Reason for death:
In the month of May this year, the news came out that Streak is suffering from health issues. He was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon cancer. However, the doctors tried their best to save the life of the champion, but their effort went in vain.
Recent Stint with the IPL and Bangladesh:
The recent stint of the Streak with Bangladesh was as a coach, and that really helped the team to perform well. He was mainly the bowling coach of Bangladesh, and his stint was certainly very special and important for the team. He also coached the KKR team in the IPL. That was certainly the highest point for him in his coaching career.

Ban in 2021:
In the year 2021, Heath Streak was banned from the sport for a period of 8 years. Even though he mentioned that he was not involved in anything that was unethical. However, still, the ban was imposed on him due to the breach of the International Cricket Council’s anti-corruption code.
