Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood dismantled the South African batting line‑up in Durban, taking six wickets for 49 runs. His spell broke two promising partnerships and helped bowl South Africa out for 206. Australia then posted a total that secured a 214‑run victory, their first Test win on the tour.
South Africa’s captain Bavuma acknowledged the defeat, saying there are “obvious things we could improve on” after their unbeaten run ended in the Durban Test. He stressed the need for the side to respond strongly in the upcoming matches, according to cricinfo.com.
