Goa to host 2020-21 season of Indian Super League

The upcoming season of the Indian Super League i.e., the 2020-21 season is all set to be hosted by Goa from November. The ISL governing council also confirmed this on Sunday.Β 

The matches will be played behind closed doors at the multiple venues: Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, GMC Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, and Tilak Maidan Stadium and Vasco.Β 

The finals of 2019-20 were played between ATK Mohun Bagan and Chennaiyin FC at the Fatorda in March behind the closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.Β 

The Sports Authority of Goa will be closely working alongside Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) to stage the league successfully. The FSDL will also ensure of providing with the facilities of individual training of the teams and also working on a an extensive plan for the improvement of all the facilities including the dressing rooms, floodlights, maintenance and drainage.Β

The upcoming 2020-21 season is already expected to be one of the most promising editions especially after ATK and Mohun Bagan joined hands. And also Hyderabad Fc signed a long-term partnership with Borussia Dortmund.Β
