Georgia was born on May 31, 1991, in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. She did her schooling from Wolverhampton Girls’ High School from 2002-2009. She grew up in Wolverhampton, playing cricket with her brother which saw her pursue a full-time career in sports. She then took admission to Loughborough University to complete her graduation from Sports management. She wanted to be an all-rounder and learned a lot about bowling from her brother Luke. In her initial years of playing cricket, she played for the Staffordshire club before moving to Sussex at the start of the 2011 season.

Playing in the county cricket from the teen ages, Georgia got her maiden National call-up in 2011 as a replacement for the inured Jenny Gunn, for the ODI series against South Africa Women. She did not bat in that game and with the ball, she gave away 43 runs in 8 overs of her spell. On the same tour, she made her T20I debut in October 2011. Georgia had to wait for the next four years to get her Test cap. She was again announced as the replacement of the injured Jenny Gunn when Australia toured England for the Test series in 2015. 

Besides, she was the part of the England women squad for the 2017 Women World Cup. She is the captain of the Loughborough Lightning Team which made into the finals day of the first Kia Super League in 2017. In 2018 Georgia made her Women Big Bash League in the third edition of the tournament. She was named in the squad of the Melbourne Stars’ squad for the 2018-19 season. In February 2019. Georgia bagged a full-term central contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). She has been included in the England Women’s squad for the 2020 Women T20 World Cup.
