Irish Cricket player Gareth Delany was born in Ireland on April 28, of the year 1997. Domestic career
On May 26, 2017, James Delany played his first game of Twenty20 cricket for Leinster Lightning in the Inter-Provincial Trophy. On June 5, 2017, James Delany played for Leinster Lightning in his first-ever first-class match during the Interprovincial Championship. On September 10, 2017, James Delany made his List A debut for Leinster Lightning during the Interprovincial Cup.
Gareth James Delany was chosen to represent the Dublin Chiefs in the inaugural Euro T20 Slam cricket competition in the month of July of the year 2019.

International career
James Delany was included in the Ireland Wolves squad in June 2019 for their domestic cricket series against Scotland A. James Delany was selected for Ireland’s team later that month for their series against Zimbabwe. On July 12, 2019, James Delany played in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match for Ireland against Zimbabwe.
James Delany was included in the Irish team for the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier match in the United Arab Emirates in September 2019. Delany was selected for the Ireland One Day International (ODI) team for their series against the West Indies in December 2019. On January 7, 2020, James Delany played in his first ODI for Ireland against the West Indies.
Delany was included in Ireland’s 21-man squad on July 10, 2020, and will go to England to begin private preparation for the ODI series against the England cricket team. Delany was included in the Ireland Wolves team for their trip to Bangladesh in February 2021. Delany was picked to Ireland’s provisional team in September 2021 for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
